It eliminates the possibility of importing bad data by scanning your file for errors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sh-ext-lemon--p-UK6ra\"><strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">If errors are found<\/strong>,<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">\u00a0the tool<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"sh-ext-lemon--ul-1i-rI\">\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Shows the number of items successfully imported or failed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Provides a new .IIF file of the failed transactions, along with the descriptions of errors found.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"sh-ext-lemon--p-UK6ra\">The tool also now works in multi-user mode for QuickBooks Desktop 2019.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"sh-toc-hId-1644672638\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--h2-2clbo\">How to import .IIF files<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"sh-ext-lemon--ol-1fbQ3\">\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Go to\u00a0<b>File\u00a0<\/b>&gt;\u00a0<b>Utilities\u00a0<\/b>&gt;\u00a0<b>Import\u00a0<\/b>&gt;\u00a0<b>IIF Files<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Select\u00a0<b>Import IIF<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Locate the file, then select\u00a0<b>OK<\/b>.<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Note<\/strong>: We don&#8217;t recommend the option\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Import it for me. I&#8217;ll fix it later<\/strong>. Since this option bypasses data review, some of the info may not be correct or complete for your books. It also requires that you switch to single user.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Once the import is successful, you&#8217;ll see the numbers of list and transactions imported. Press\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Done<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"sh-toc-hId--1103997828\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--h3-jHu1G\">File not imported<\/h3>\n<p class=\"sh-ext-lemon--p-UK6ra\">If the import is unsuccessful, you&#8217;ll see the number of list and transactions that both failed and was successfully imported. QuickBooks automatically creates a new .IIF file for failed records with error info. You then have 3 options to move forward:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"sh-ext-lemon--ul-1i-rI\">\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\"><strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Review now<\/strong>\u00a0opens the new .IIF created.
