sh-section-g2JxR sh-section-content-2eYId\">\n<div id=\"sh-note_8dfd83797b8c42f281adaf66a6cdfa9d\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--div-3uKWd\">\n<p class=\"sh-ext-lemon--p-UK6ra\"><strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"sh-ext-lemon--ul-1i-rI\">\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Before troubleshooting, you may want to try the task on another computer to see if it is successful and verify your network (if any) is compatible with QuickBooks.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Make sure you update to the latest version of Internet Explorer, IE 11, if you are using Internet Explorer 10 or or versions older.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"sh-ext-lemon--p-UK6ra\"><strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Verify Internet Explorer Settings:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol class=\"sh-ext-lemon--ol-1fbQ3\">\n<li id=\"sh-step_fe591281005f4cc4805b2a6c3d764d63\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Make Internet Explorer the\u00a0default browser.<\/li>\n<li id=\"sh-step_0987b5f86a2b4f2e93a8706a3500c7bc\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz sh-expandedParent-4jU4B\">\n<p class=\"sh-ext-lemon--p-UK6ra sh-section-g2JxR\">Verify that your on your keyboard. This will make the\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">menu bar<\/strong>\u00a0visible.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Select\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">File\u00a0<\/strong>&gt;\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Properties<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Under\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Connection<\/strong>, look for the number before the phrase\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">&#8220;bit encryption&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"sh-ext-lemon--p-UK6ra\"><strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Note:\u00a0<\/strong>If the cipher strength is anything lower than\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">128 bit<\/strong>,you know that Internet Explorer is damaged. QuickBooks Desktop process that require encryption from Internet Explorer may not function properly.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"sh-step_d08155e858074d64a668d4a364a00874\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz sh-expandedParent-4jU4B\">\n<p class=\"sh-ext-lemon--p-UK6ra sh-section-g2JxR\">Update Settings by selecting\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Tools<\/strong>, then\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Internet Options<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"sh-details_without_placeholder_tagscollapse2\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--div-3uKWd sh-collapse-Lxk0Z sh-section-g2JxR sh-section-content-2eYId sh-collapseContent-IdVcu sh-expanded-2yvC3\">\n<ol class=\"sh-ext-lemon--ol-1fbQ3\">\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Select\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Tools<\/strong>, then\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Internet Options<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">On the\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">General<\/strong>\u00a0tab, select\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Delete<\/strong>.\u00a0 Select\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Temporary Internet files<\/strong>, then select\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Delete<\/strong>. (Note &#8211; do not select to delete cookies.)<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">On the\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Connections<\/strong>\u00a0tab, select\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">LAN settings<\/strong>.a. Mark the checkbox next to\u00a0<em class=\"sh-ext-lemon--em-2ZRpM\">Automatically Detect Settings<\/em>.b. Make sure Proxy servers are blank, unless you use one.<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Note:<\/strong>\u00a0You may need to check with your IT administrator.c. Choose\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Ok<\/strong>\u00a0twice.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">On the\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Advanced\u00a0<\/strong>tab, go about 3\/4 of the way down the list.a. Make sure both\u00a0<em class=\"sh-ext-lemon--em-2ZRpM\">SSL 2.0<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em class=\"sh-ext-lemon--em-2ZRpM\">SSL 3.0<\/em>\u00a0are marked.b. If marked, please clear the box next to\u00a0<em class=\"sh-ext-lemon--em-2ZRpM\">Check for publisher&#8217;s certificate<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">On the same<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">\u00a0Advanced<\/strong>\u00a0tab, scroll down towards the bottom and make sure:a.\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">TLS 1.2<\/strong>\u00a0is checked.b.\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">TLS 1.0\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">TLS 1.1<\/strong>\u00a0are not checked.\u00a0 If marked, clear the checkbox.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"sh-ext-lemon--p-UK6ra\"><strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Troubleshoot in QuickBooks Desktop:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol class=\"sh-ext-lemon--ol-1fbQ3\">\n<li id=\"sh-step_0834752a5a1e470280dfa17f1ab45786\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Verify your\u00a0subscription is active.<\/li>\n<li id=\"sh-step_70b48cb8bc784aba8de44252c767642f\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Reset the QuickBooks Desktop update.<\/li>\n<li id=\"sh-step_d7326e72d33641e7a5f20cbc72d5355e\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz sh-expandedParent-4jU4B\">\n<p class=\"sh-ext-lemon--p-UK6ra sh-section-g2JxR\">Verify the payroll service key is accurate.<\/p>\n<div id=\"sh-details_without_placeholder_tagscollapse3\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--div-3uKWd sh-collapse-Lxk0Z sh-section-g2JxR sh-section-content-2eYId sh-collapseContent-IdVcu sh-expanded-2yvC3\">\n<ol class=\"sh-ext-lemon--ol-1fbQ3\">\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Choose\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Employees<\/strong>, then\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">My Payroll Service<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Select\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Manage Service Key<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Select<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">\u00a0Edit<\/strong>, then verify the service key is correct.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Click <strong>Next<\/strong>, then Finish.
