Do you want to change the bank account that your direct deposit funds are withdrawn from? We show you how.<\/p>\n

Set up and Update the Bank Account<\/h2>\n

First, if you haven’t set up the new bank account, do so in the QuickBooks Desktop Chart of Accounts.<\/p>\n

  1. Select\u00a0Lists<\/strong>, then\u00a0Chart of\u00a0<\/strong>Accounts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Select the\u00a0Accounts<\/strong> button. Then Click New<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Select\u00a0Bank<\/strong>. Then Click Continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Enter your bank account information<\/li>\n
  5. Select\u00a0Save & Close<\/strong>\u00a0to save your changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Now, update the bank account statistics in the QuickBooks Payroll Account Management Portal.<\/p>\n

    1. Select\u00a0Employees<\/strong>, then\u00a0My Payroll Service<\/strong>, then\u00a0Accounts\/Billing Information<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. Sign in using your\u00a0Intuit Account<\/strong>\u00a0login.<\/li>\n
    3. Go to\u00a0Payroll Info\u00a0<\/strong>section. Under\u00a0Di<\/strong>rect Deposit B<\/strong>ank Account\u00a0<\/strong>select\u00a0Edit.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Enter your payroll\u00a0PIN<\/strong>\u00a0then select\u00a0Continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    5. Enter the new bank account details. Then select\u00a0Update.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    6. Wait for the confirmation. Then select\u00a0Close.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Now, update the account that direct deposit paychecks and fees will post to if necessary.<\/p>\n

      1. Select\u00a0Employees<\/strong>, then\u00a0Send Payroll Data<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      2. On the Send\/Receive Data window, select\u00a0Preferences<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      3. In the\u00a0Account Preferences<\/strong>, select the new bank account from the drop-down list.<\/li>\n
      4. Select\u00a0OK<\/strong>\u00a0to save your changes.<\/li>\n
      5. Select\u00a0Close<\/strong>\u00a0on the\u00a0Send\/Receive Data<\/strong>\u00a0window.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Activate your New Direct Deposit Bank Account<\/h2>\n

        After one to two banking days, take a look at your bank statement. You’ll see two small one-time withdrawals made by way of QuickBooks Payroll Service. Enter these two test debits in the Payroll Account Management Portal:<\/p>\n

        1. \u00a0Select\u00a0Employees<\/strong>, then\u00a0My Payroll Service<\/strong>, then\u00a0Account\/Billing Information<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        2. Sign in using your\u00a0Intuit Account<\/strong>\u00a0login.<\/li>\n
        3. Go to\u00a0Payroll Info\u00a0<\/strong>section, under\u00a0Di<\/strong>rect Deposit B<\/strong>ank Account\u00a0<\/strong>select\u00a0Verify.<\/strong><\/li>\n
        4. Enter and confirm your payroll\u00a0PIN<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        5. Select\u00a0Submit.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
