In this Article we are going to talk about How do I Correct the Mapping of the Sales Tax item to the Correct Account in the Chart of Accounts, Correct mapping of the Sales tax item to the Correct amount in Charts of Accounts.<\/p>\n

First,\u00a0decide which between the two\u00a0accounts\u00a0would\u00a0you set up as the parent account. Once done,\u00a0you can proceed with merging the sub-accounts.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n

  1. Go to the\u00a0Gear icon<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Select\u00a0Chart of Accounts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. In the\u00a0Chart of Accounts <\/strong>window, look for the second\u00a0Sales Tax Payable account<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Click the\u00a0Action\u00a0<\/strong>drop-down arrow, choose\u00a0Edit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. Review the details of the account<\/li>\n
  6. Make sure to put a check mark on\u00a0Is a sub-account<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  7. Click the drop-down arrow,<\/li>\n
  8. Choose\u00a0Account and Detail Type<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  9. Choose the parent which you\u2019ve created first.<\/li>\n
  10. Hit\u00a0Save and Close<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
