You can\u00a0connect online email services\u00a0and send transactions directly from QuickBooks Desktop. If you see a message about an incorrect email or password, don’t worry. Here’s what to check so nothing blocks messages going out to your vendors and customers.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Update QuickBooks<\/h2>\n

If you haven’t already, Update QuickBooks to the latest release<\/a>. Then email a test transaction to yourself.<\/p>\n

If you still get error messages, move on to Step 2.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Check your email settings<\/h2>\n

Open your online email service. Review your settings and filter preferences. These may be blocking your emails from QuickBooks on accident.<\/p>\n

Gmail<\/h3>\n

Check your app preferences. Something may be blocking the connection to your Google account:<\/p>\n

    If you still can’t send emails, you can\u00a0turn off the 2-Step Verification<\/a>\u00a0feature for your Gmail account.\u00a0Important:<\/strong>\u00a0This turns it off for all apps, not just QuickBooks.<\/p>\n

    Yahoo! Mail<\/h3>\n

    Yahoo! Mail uses a 2-Step Verification process. Review your security settings:<\/p>\n

    1. Go to your Yahoo Account Security page.<\/li>\n
    2. Turn on the\u00a0Two-step verification<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Allow apps that use less secure sign in<\/strong> features.\"Fix<\/a><\/li>\n

      3. In the\u00a0Password<\/strong>\u00a0field box, enter the third-party app password. Then select\u00a0OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        When you’re done, move on to Step 3.<\/p>\n

        Other email services (Hotmail, AOL, etc)<\/h3>\n

        Check your security and filter settings. Make exceptions or rules so QuickBooks isn’t blocked.<\/p>\n

        QuickBooks in RightNetworks<\/h3>\n

        Complete a Multi-Factor Authentication request with RightNetworks. If you can’t log into RightNetworks from a browser,\u00a0contact them<\/a>\u00a0for help setting up.<\/p>\n

        When you’re done, move on to Step 3.<\/p>\n

        Step 3: Check your antivirus settings<\/h2>\n
