Proceed to Solution 3.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"sh-toc-hId-869681727\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--h2-2clbo\">Solution 3: Change Windows regional settings<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"sh-ext-lemon--ol-1fbQ3\">\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Go to\u00a0region and language settings.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Select\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">English (United States)<\/strong>\u00a0from the Format drop-down menu.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Select\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Apply<\/strong>, then\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Reopen QuickBooks Point of Sale.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"sh-ext-lemon--p-UK6ra\">If the issue still persists, close QuickBooks Point of Sale and proceed to Solution 4.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"sh-toc-hId--1682475234\" class=\"sh-ext-lemon--h2-2clbo\">Solution 4: Rename your company file<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"sh-ext-lemon--ol-1fbQ3\">\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Go to the Services window, then stop the QBPOS Database Manager service.\n<ol class=\"sh-ext-lemon--ol-1fbQ3\" start=\"1\">\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">On your keyboard select the\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Windows key\u00a0<\/strong>+\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">R<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">On the Run window enter\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">services.msc<\/strong>, then select\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Search for the version of your QBPOS <a class=\"LinkSuggestion__Link-sc-1mdih4x-2 jZPuuT\" href=\"https:\/\/quickbookexperts.com\/Blog\/2019\/11\/06\/database-db-file-fragments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Database (DB) Manager<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Right-click on it, then select\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Stop<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Go to C:\\Users\\Public\\Public Documents\\Intuit\\QuickBooks Point of Sale (version)\\Data.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Right-click on the folder that matches your company name, then select\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Rename<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Add an X before the company name, then press\u00a0<strong class=\"sh-ext-lemon--strong-1R_yp\">Enter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sh-ext-lemon--li-xCOzz\">Return to the Services window.
