Payroll Tax Payment Schedule Not Correct in 2021

It could be that the setup of the tax payment schedule was monthly instead of quarterly. Let’s go ahead and check the deposit schedule of the 941 taxes.

Here’s how:

  1. Click Taxes on the left navigation panel.
  2. Select the Payroll Tax
  3. Click the link Edit your tax setup.
  4. Under the Federal Tax Information, you should see the Filing & Deposit Requirements.

If it’s showing monthly as the deposit schedule, you can review the Pay Taxes button to see the taxes that wasn’t paid yet.

  1. Click Taxes on the left navigation panel.
  2. Select the Payroll Tax
  3. Click the Pay Taxes

If you wish to change the 941 deposit schedule, you can follow these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.
  2. Under Settings, click Payroll Settings.
  3. Under Taxes, click Federal Taxes.
  4. Click Change or add a new schedule.
  5. Look for your old tax deposit schedule and click Delete
  6. Select the new filing and deposit schedule, and select an effective date.
  7. Click OK.
