In this article we are going to talk about Why the Bill Payments in QuickBooks is not showing up or Why are the Bill Payment checks not showing up iin QuickBooks ?
Once you pay a bill, it will show as unpaid if you use write checks in paying the outstanding balance. It won’t appear as paid on the bill if the payment was not recorded through Pay Bills.
You can link the check to the bill, here’s how:
- Change the Expense account to Accounts Payable.
- On the check that you created, change the Expense account to Accounts Payable.
- Click the Customer: Job drop-down then choose the vendor name. If you do not enter a name, QuickBooks will ask you to choose a vendor for the Accounts Payable line item.
- Click Save & Close.
- Pay the Bill.
- Go to the Vendors menu and click Pay Bills.
- Choose the Bill/s corresponding to the Check.
- Select Set Credits and click on the Credits tab.
- Put a check on the credit. Change the amount as needed.
- Click Done.
- Click Pay Selected Bills.
