Bank of America Account is Not Connecting with Quickbooks? Login Error.

When you say “I have signed in to my bank account online,” did you log in to your bank’s website? If so, please check if your financial institution supports QuickBooks Online Banking. Once verified, let’s go ahead and activate the feature.

Bank of America Account is Not Connecting with Quickbooks

Let’s create a bank account in your Chart of Accounts first.

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. At the top right corner, click the New button.
  4. Click the Category Type drop down arrow and select Bank.
  5. Enter a name for the account in the Name field.
  6. In the Description field, enter a brief description of the account.
  7. In the Balance field, enter an opening balance for the account. Then, enter the date of the balance in the as of field.
  8. Click Save and Close (or Save and New if you want to enter another account right away).

Then, we’ll need to activate your online bank feeds.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to Transactions on the left side, and select Banking.
  2. Click Add Account on the upper right hand part.
  3. Enter the name of your Financial Institution, click Find then choose your bank.
  4. Choose your bank account name.
  5. Enter your Sign In information, then click Log In.
  6. Check the box next to the credit card account that you’ll be connecting.
  7. Click the QuickBooks Account drop down, and choose the credit card account you created.
  8. Click Connect, and when it is done connecting click I’m done. Let’s go!

That’ll do it. Just a couple seconds, and you’ll be bringing in data from your bank in no time.
